CGGVeritas offers the complete range of marine acquisition, providing high-end broadband solutions. This excellence includes towed streamer and seabed acquisition for both narrow and wide azimuth exploration, development and 4D seismic surveys. Permeating all these activities is our commitment to service and quality.
We have recently upgraded our seismic fleet of 19 vessels, retiring some older vessels and investing in two state-of-the-art 20-streamer Ulstein SX120 X-BOWS. This rejuvenation of our fleet allows us to answer the market's growing challenges through constant upgrades and innovation:
The X-BOWS have DNV-CLEAN notation for the lowest environmental impact. Nautilus uses power from the streamers and so does not need batteries, eliminating the need for lithium battery shipment and storage, and reducing the number of workboat trips and therefore the in-water HSE exposure. Solid streamers are environmentally friendly and have been proven in sensitive frontier areas such as the Arctic. They have the highest resistance to physical damage in the industry.
X-BOWS are specially designed to reduce surging and turbulence Solid streamers are recognized as being the quietest in the industry, being less susceptible to towing and environmental noise. Nautilus reduces the number of devices on the streamers and has a lower induced noise level than conventional depth controllers. The streamer is quieter in all applications and environments, including when steered.
X-BOWS are hydrodynamically optimized for seismic operations. The Vega is equipped with 16 streamers and has winches and tow points for 20, making her easily upgradable. Solid streamers are recognized for their consistency, reliability, high signal-to-noise ratio and low frequency recording, allowing the extension of operations into more marginal weather windows. Nautilus provides advanced acoustic positioning, powerful streamer steering, and automatic depth control and spread regularization. |
