BroadSeis, the CGGVeritas broadband marine solution, is a new combination of leading equipment, unique acquisition techniques and patented de-ghosting and imaging technology that provides a better subsurface image through a superior broadband marine acquisition solution.

BroadSeis Marine

CGGVeritas BroadSeis uses notch diversity and patented processing technology to yield a broadband spectrum.

It takes full advantage of the low noise and low-frequency response of the Sentinel® solid streamer.

Customizable Broadband Wavelet

BroadSeis uses the notch diversity from a variable streamer depth profile to create an exceptionally sharp and clean wavelet for interpretation.

It can be tuned for different water depths, target depths and desired output spectra.

3D-Ready Broadband

BroadSeis requires only a single streamer and uses a fully 3D de-ghosting algorithm, so is equally suitable for 2D, 3D and wide-azimuth recording. There are no complications in either the data acquisition or the deghosting technique, particularly in the crossline direction.

As BroadSeis requires no new equipment where solid streamers are already deployed, it is available on the majority of CGGVeritas vessels.

Although the BroadSeis technique includes de-ghosting, the raw field data will be supplied to our clients allowing them to apply any processing techniques desired, thus providing them with unrivalled flexibility.
