This is a way to develop a framework for employment, business opportunities, long-term economic development and training of local population. It is also a way to share profits equally between all stakeholders in the nearby communities: local staff, clients, suppliers, contractors, government, etc.
Encouraging Local Employment
CGGVeritas bases its local development on building up local labor pools. We employ local staff whom we train in:

Encouraging Local Purchasing
Whenever and wherever possible, CGGVeritas also encourages local purchasing in order to participate in the local economic 'dynamism', and so that we continually re-invest in the communities in which we work.
