CGGVeritas WAZ Experience

CGGVeritas was involved right from the start of the change to wide-azimuth seismic when we shot a wide-azimuth survey for BP in the Gulf of Mexico in order to improve illumination beneath tabular salt. This was the first towed streamer project of this type.

At about the same time, CGGVeritas undertook the first successful field trials of V1 single vibrator recording in the deserts of Egypt.

Across our product lines, CGGVeritas has embraced the need to focus on wide-azimuth from the beginning. This focus reflects our belief that wide-azimuth is not just a specialized tool for deep water sub-salt exploration, but has a host of further benefits in many geological and geographical settings.

CGGVeritas offers industry-leading experience for survey design, acquisition and processing whether it be in an onshore, seabed or offshore environment.
