Petrophysical Seismic Inversion

PetroSI is a high-resolution petrophysical inversion which provides a direct link between seismic data and reservoir modelling. It overcomes down-scaling, depth-conversion and seismic match problems associated with two-step or hybrid approaches by updating reservoir properties directly in a fine-scale depth domain reservoir model.

PetroSI is part of the StrataVista seismic reservoir characterization platform.

The reservoir model has a 1m vertical resolution. The inversion updates the model at the same resolution and is controlled by the fine-scale PEM which is consistent with the log data.
